Call for Research Abstracts for Podium and Poster Presenters

The deadline for receipt of abstracts is January 8, 2010.

Conference Theme: Health Care Reform and Nursing’s Role

This all day conference marks the 3rd biennial Kappa Pi-at-Large Scholarship Day. This year’s featured speaker, Dr. T. Heather Herdman, will address the theme of Health Care Reform and Nursing’s Role. Dr. Herdman is the Executive Director of NANDA International. She is also Chief Strategic Officer and researcher at Hoana Medical Inc., a producer of medical beds and supplies.

Invitation to Submit Abstract:

We invite you to submit an abstract to share past and current research projects to be reviewed by the Kappa Pi Scholarship planning committee. Abstracts will be accepted for podium or poster presentations at the March 5, 2010 conference. Abstract topics are not limited to the conference theme. Original research or evidence-based projects are invited for consideration.

Format for Abstracts:

Abstracts should be typed, one page or less, single spaced and should include title, author identification/ organizational affiliation, problem/ purpose, background/significance, theoretical framework (as appropriate), participants/setting, methods, results, and conclusions.

Abstract Submission:

 Modification of the abstract guidelines for evidence based projects is acceptable.
